Stereoselective defluorinative carboxylation of <i>gem</i>-difluoroalkenes with carbon dioxide

Abstract

We report an efficient Cu-catalyzed stereoselective C–F bond defluorinative carboxylation reaction of <italic>gem</italic>-difluoroalkenes with CO₂, which enabled the synthesis of fluoroallyl carboxyl acid in high to excellent yields with perfect <italic>Z</italic>-selectivity.
