The validity of a new method developed recently for the evaluation of solid solubilities of alloys (Morinaga et al. 1985) is confirmed for nickel-based f.c.c. alloys. The method predicts well the phase boundaries between the austenitic γ and the γ' phase in 18 ternary alloys.
