This paper evaluates the performance of Visible Light Communication (VLC) with the Bit Error Rate (BER) as the main parameter of measurement. We analyzed how much influence the addition of the optical concentrator with a refractive index of 1.474 at the photodetector. To support the simulation, we use the OOK-NRZ and OOK-RZ modulation techniques. From the research we have done, we can evaluate that the addition of the optical concentrator has resulted in a significant expansion of communication coverage on the VLC system. OOK-NRZ has increased communication coverage of 17.3%, while OOK-RZ is 54.9%, with the OOK-NRZ coverage area wider than OOK-RZ.
