Characteristics of the Number of Conjugacy Classes and P-Regular Classes in Finite Symmetric Groups

Abstract

Abstract In this work, the number of p – regular classes N prc ( S n ) in symmetric group S n is always less than or equal to the number of conjugacy classes N c ( S n ) in S n is shown. Furthermore, the relation between p and n that is satisfying the equality are investigated.
