Abstract

Sarcopenia was an independent risk factor for infection in patients undergoing APR. This risk was even greater in patients undergoing flap-based perineal reconstruction. Sarcopenia can be identified on preoperative imaging and inform surgeons on risk stratification and surgical plan.
