Luttinger surgery and Kodaira dimension

Abstract

In this note we show that the Lagrangian Luttinger surgery preserves the symplectic Kodaira dimension. Some constraints on Lagrangian tori in symplectic four manifolds with nonpositive Kodaira dimension are also derived.
