Undetected outliers may significantly influence the results and interpretation of high precision engineering surveys. The least-squares adjustment method smooths out the effect of outliers and makes their localization difficult. Low spatial redundancy, high correlation among residuals, and the existence of multiple outliers compound the problem This paper presents a strategy developed to overcome most of these difficulties.
