In recent years, the use of Lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles, more particularly light vehicles (LEV) has considerably increased thanks to their salient characteristics. In order to protect battery cells from damage due to overcharges or/and deep charges, the monitoring process should be given higher priority. In this framework, this paper proposes an estimation algorithm of the Sate of Charge (SoC) of Lithium-ion batteries. The proposed algorithm uses the enhanced coulomb counting method combined with polynomial OCV model and integrating a balancing process. Simulation results are presented and discussed to confirm the correct operation of the proposal.
