Abstract

Abstract A metal‐free one‐pot synthesis of sulfonamides from readily available nitroarenes and arylsulfonyl chlorides promoted by diboronic acid in water has been described. Twenty‐one examples of arylsulfonamides were obtained in moderate to good yields. Notably, a disulfonamide was also prepared from dinitrobenzene by this method. In addition, this one‐pot process is applicable for gram‐scale synthesis.
