Nigellidine — A new indazole alkaloid from the seeds of Nigella sativa

Abstract

Nigellidine (1), only the second example of a natural product containing an indazole nucleus, was isolated from Nigella sativa and characterized by spectroscopic and X-ray diffraction techniques.
