Stereocontrolled Synthesis of Alkyl- and Aryl- α- and β-selenoglycosides.

Abstract

Alkyl α- and β-selenoglucosides are prepared in good yield by reaction of the corresponding diglucopyranosyl diselenide with alkyl halide under reducing conditions. Complete stereocontrol is achieved in the transformation.
