Electrophilic olefins were synthesized in solvent‐free condition using DMAP (10%mol) as catalyst in excellent yield and E‐geometry. The various aldehydes which are aliphatic, aromatic, and heterocyclics underwent smoothly for Knoevenagel condensation with different active methylene compounds.
