Synthesis of Novel Alkynyl-substituted Iron Acyl and Carbene Complexes via Mixed Anhydrides

Abstract

The synthesis of novel (alkynyl)-substituted iron acyl complexes has been achieved via a mixed anhydride procedure starting from the carboxylic acids. Aminolysis studies of the corresponding cationic (alkynyl)methoxycarbene iron complexes are described.
