Abstract Lipase-catalyzed kinetic resolution of various 1-arylethanols was performed in supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2), in hexane and without solvent. The use of scCO2 enhances reactivity especially when a cross-linked enzyme aggregate (CLEA) was used.
