A Sandmeyer borylation of arylamines via a SN<sub>2</sub>Ar pathway promoted by methanol with sodium nitrite and hydrochloric acid as diazotization agent has been developed, which provide a simple and green synthetic method to arylboronic acids and arylboronates.
