Synthesis of 2‐amino‐4‐aryl‐7,7‐dimethyl‐5‐oxo‐4<i>H</i>‐5,6,7,8‐tetrahydrobenzo[<i>b</i>]pyran derivatives in ionic liquid medium

Abstract magnified image In this paper, preparation of 2‐Amino‐4‐aryl‐7,7‐dimethyl‐5‐oxo‐4 H ‐5,6,7,8‐tetrahydrobenzo[ b ]pyran derivatives from aromatic aldehyde, malononitrile or cyanoacetate and 5,5‐dimethyl‐1,3‐cyclohexanedione in ionic liquid [bmim + ][BF 4 − ] was described. Compared with other methods, this new method has the advantages of easier work‐up, milder reaction conditions, high yields and environmentally benign procedure.
