Intramolecular Heck Coupling of Alkenyl 3-Iodoindole-2-carboxamide Derivatives

Abstract

Ethyl 2-(1-oxo-1,2,3,4,5,10-hexahydroazepino[3,4-b]indol-5-yliden)acetate derivative 1 a has been synthesised in good yield from indole-2-carboxylic acid 2 via a stoichiometric intramolecular Heck reaction.
