In this paper we present the evidence of the ferroelectric properties of the diammonium hypodiphosphosphate (NH4)2H2P2O6 (ADhP) single crystal as well as X-ray study on its structural phase transition of the paraelectric−ferroelectric type at 180 K. We propose the mechanism of the appearance of spontaneous polarization in the ferroelectric phase.
