Highly enantioselective addition of dimethylzinc to metallocenecarboxaldehydes catalyzed by chiral 1,2-disubstituted ferrocenyl aminoalcohols was carried out. And the obtained 1-ferrocenylethanol in 98.6% ee was converted into the antipode of the catalyst used.
