Microwave-Assisted Synthesis of 3-Cyano-2-(1H-Indol-3-yl)Pyridine Derivatives by a Multicomponent Reaction

Abstract

Preparation of a series of 3-cyano-2-(1H-indol-3-yl)pyridine derivatives through the one-pot multicomponent coupling of aromatic aldehydes, aromatic ketones, 3-(cyanoacetyl)indole and ammonium acetate is studied in the present article. All these compounds were obtained in good yield and their structures were confirmed by 1 H NMR, IR and elementary analysis.
