Synthesis and Photophysical Behavior of Porphyrins with Two C60 Units

Abstract

Abstract Two C60 units were covalently linked to 5,10-(cis-) or 5,15-(trans-) positions at a meso-tetraphenylporphyrin via pyrolidine spacers. 1H NMR, UV-visible absorption, and fluorescence spectroscopy showed that there is a considerable interaction among the chromophores in cis-isomers due to the close proximity of the two C60 moieties.
