Microwave-Assisted Synthesis of 1,3-Thiazolidin-4-ones and 2-Aryl-1,3-oxathiolan-5-ones

Abstract

A microwave-enhanced, rapid, three-component one-pot condensation method has been developed for the synthesis of 1,3-thiazolidin-4-ones using toluene in open vessels at atmospheric pressure.
