College, Dobhi-222 149, Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, India<br> <em>Manuscript received 19 August 2006, revised 19 April 2007, accepted 13 June 2007</em> The cyclopeptide alkaloids, mauritine-K and sativanine-K have been isolated from the root bark of <em>Zizyphus mauritiana</em> and their structures established by spectral and chemical evidences. Mauritine-K is a new cyclopeptide alkaloid and sativanine-K is the first report from <em>Z</em>.<em> mauritiana</em>. Mauritine-K exhibited significant antifungal activity.
