An Asymmetric Synthesis of N-Protected β-Amino Aldehydes and β-Amino Ketones

Abstract

The stereoselective addition of lithium (S)-(α-methylbenzyl)benzylamide to αβ-unsaturated Weinreb amides gives the conjugate addition products with high stereoselectivities (99:1) which can be transformed into protected homochiral β-amino aldehydes and ketones.
