Extension of the Colvin Rearrangement Using Trimethylsilyldiazomethane. A New Synthesis of Alkynes

Abstract

Colvin rearrangement of aryl alkyl ketones and aldehydes by reaction with lithium trimethylsilyldiazomethane has been shown to give the corresponding homologous alkynes in high to moderate yields.
