Pyrano- and Furocarbazole Alkaloids from the Root Bark of Clausena excavata

Abstract

Two pyranocarbazole alkaloids, clausine-W (1) and clausine-T (2). a s well as two furocarbazole alkaloids, furoclausine-A (3) and furoclausine-B (4).were isolated and identitied from the acetone extwct of the root bark of Clausena excavuru.Their structures have been elucidated by spectroscopic analyses.
