The recently approved regulation about self-consumption in Spain will dramatically change the level of penetration of photovoltaic distributed generation combined with storage devices at residential level in short term. In this paper, we will study the impact of the massive installation of such technologies under the constraints imposed by the new regulation, over the terminal distribution network. As it will be demonstrated, this impact will be drastic in terms of energy demand, voltage profile, and load curves.
