Modified inclusion criteria in the screening programme lead to a higher detection rate of NSCLC. Growing expertise in lung cancer screening leads to increased indications for minimally invasive surgery and an increased proportion of lung-sparing resections. A single-team experience in lung cancer screening does not lead to a major reduction in the rate of diagnostic procedures and operations for non-malignant lesions.
