Data Analytics platform for intelligent agriculture

Abstract

Offlate, the role of data analytics in transforming data and information to a concrete decision in the field of agriculture has been gaining importance. In recent years, the concept of data analytics has been widely used in various sectors for efficient decision making and people are increasingly aware of the importance of the value of data analytics. It is hence proven that there is rarely any field that data analytics cannot be involved. In this regard, machine learning also has its stake and especially in agriculture sector as well like in education, banking, healthcare and retail field. Towards this pathway of transformation, it is imperative to note that the main issue lies in the conversion of data from unstructured to structured one even before applying the machine learning algorithms. Incase the farmers are provided with the support of efficient decision making options through the application of data analytics, it would contribute to the economical level as a result. Hence, the researchers in this study have attempted to propose a platform of data analytics catering to the needs of the stakes in agricultural sector keeping in mind the 'intelligent agricultural decision system'. The results of this study would ensure of the proposed platform and in addition - future research on advanced decision making in the field of agriculture.
