Abstract

An unknown mechanism in Bacteroides non-fragilis isolates causes resistance to β-lactam antibiotics. The fact that the prevalence of the tetQ gene among Prevotella is increasing and the existence of isolates harbouring three resistance genes are worrisome developments.
