Bacteremic Community-Acquired Pneumonia in Ethiopian Children: Etiology, Antibiotic Resistance, Risk Factors, and Clinical Outcome

Abstract

Five years after the introduction of PCV10 in Ethiopia, <i>S. aureus</i> was the main cause of bacteremic CAP in children, the contribution of <i>S. pneumoniae</i> was low, and there was a high level of antibiotic resistance among isolates.
