Rare earth-free composites of carbon dots/metal–organic frameworks as white light emitting phosphors

Abstract

Here we report a new type of white light-emission material that is free of rare earth metals, fabricated by conveniently compositing carbon dots (CDs) with Zr(<sc>iv</sc>)-based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs).
