Abstract

The current-bleeding neutralization is proposed to simultaneously provide current path and CGD neutralization of mixer gm stage in 0.18-μm CMOS process. In addition to sustain high gain property as the traditional PMOS current-bleeding method, the IP1dB of the proposed current-bleeding technique is improved by 3.5 dB over the PMOS-type bleeding. The proposed mixer achieves 10.7-dB conversion gain and -13.6-dBm IP1dB under 3-dBm LO power driving, and the mixer core consumes 6.6 mW at 1.8-V supply voltage.
