In this paper, a monopole antenna array based fractal geometry is proposed for MIMO applications. The antenna structure is constructed from a traditional monopole antenna attached to a fractal patch on an FR4 substrate. A numerical analysis is applied based on a Finite Integral Technique (FIT) of CST Microwave Studio (CSTMWS) formulations to characterize the antenna performance in terms of S-parameters and radiation patters. It is found that the proposed antenna provides an excellent matching, | S 11 |<;-10dB, at 3.78GHz and 8.24GHz. Nevertheless, it is found that the proposed antenna shows a broadside radiation pattern instead of omni directional radiation as in traditional monopole. Such achievement is attributed to the effect the fractal geometry addition. Finally the maximum mutual coupling between the antenna elements within a distance of 0.4A is found bellow -30dB at the two bands of interest.
