Implementation of state-wide power quality monitoring and analysis system in China

Abstract

A state-wide power quality monitoring and analysis system in China is introduced. Since over ten thousand monitoring points are involved, big-data platform and technologies are utilized for data storage and computation. To standardize the data acquisition and exchange process, enterprise specifications on power quality monitors as well as on communication protocols are formulated. Output analysis results of power quality data and real-time warning messages for voltage events are presented using a user-friendly visualization tool.
