Performance Analysis of Unidirectional and Bidirectional Buck-Boost Converter Using PID Controller

Abstract

The main aim of this paper is to analyze the dynamic response, performance, deportment of unidirectional and bidirectional buck-boost converters for both buck and boost modes. In the unidirectional BBC, power flow in single direction whereas in BBBC power flow in both the direction. PID controller is designed to obtain the fine output response with less percentage overshoot. Unidirectional BBC has a wide range of voltage variation and bidirectional BBC has high energy density. The result will be obtained and validate with the help of Simulink software named as MATLAB and SIMULINK.
