Study on anti-virus effect of fucoidan in vitro

Abstract

The result showed that anti--virus effects of fucoidan on infection due to poliovirus Ⅱ, adenovirus Ⅲ, ECHO_(6)virus, coxsackie B_(4)virus and coxsackie A_(16)virus were remarkable. Fucoidan could inhibit the development of cytopathic effect (CPE) and protect cultural cells from infection caused by above viruses
