The Carnivora of the Miocene fauna from Beni Mellal (Morocco) appears almost exclusively to be isolated teeth, belonging chiefly to juvenile animals. Seven types are deter¬ mined : one Amphicyonid Ursid (Agnotherium cf. antiquum), two Mustelids (Martes khelifensis nov.sp. and an allied animal to Ischyrictis and Mellivora : Mellalictis mellalensis nov.gen., sp.nov.) one Viverrid (Genetta sp.), two Hyaenids (Ictithe -rium cf. arambourgi and Hyaenictis graeca), one Felid (Felis nov.sp.). This fauna suggests an Upper Miocene age.
