Abstract

In a magnetic coupling mechanism used in EVs dynamic wireless charging, a structure with rail core can reduce the transmission track width while improving the transmission distance. However, this type of structure has one major drawback: large fluctuations in output power. To overcome this disadvantage, this paper proposes a narrow-width three-phase magnetic coupling mechanism. In this paper, the working principle of the three phase magnetic coupling mechanism is analyzed, and the effect of the transmitter coil's winding method and the rail core structure on the output power's fluctuation is studied, as well as the suitable compensation topology. The finite element simulation finally verifies that the magnetic coupling mechanism has the advantages of narrow power supply rail, long transmission distance and constant output power.
