Abstract

A broadband flexible fully textile-integrated bandstop frequency selective surface (FSS) working at a central frequency of 5 GHz and presenting a 1.8 GHz bandwidth has been designed, manufactured, and experimentally characterized. The FSS consists of two isolated layers of periodic square-shaped conductive rings and, due to its symmetries, its performance is largely independent of polarization and angle of incidence. The textile FSS has been simulated and experimentally validated under bent conditions providing a stable performance.
