Motion of a particle of negligible mass from the neighborhood of a gravitational center ( the 'earth') of mass (1-mu) to the neighborhood of a second center (the 'moon') of mass mu is studied within the framework of the restricted threebody problem by asymptotic methods for the case mu < < 1.
