Redis-based web server cluster session maintaining technology

Abstract

With the further development and popularization of Internet in China, the number of Internet users and data has risen sharply that puts forward higher requirements for the performance of the Web server. Traditional Web architecture is difficult to meet the needs of users and business, whereas cluster and load balancing technology can better deal with the performance problems caused by the growth of business and users. A key factor that affects the performance of the Web cluster is the consistency of user state information between servers. In this paper, several commonly used Web server cluster session maintaining methods are studied and a novel Redis-based Web server cluster session maintaining technology is proposed. It can make the cluster scale out more easily and provide highly available service.
