This paper examines the development of a worker centered cognitive assistance system with variant bound and error code dependent job lists in rework areas. In automated assembly lines, a nearly forward directed and repetitive assembly flow eases the implementation of automation technology like assistance systems. However, the implementation of these technologies at manual rework stations represents a challenge because the repair process is flexible. Hence, the developed system creates job lists dynamically and adapts to the individual worker skill level. This article is structured as follows: Analysis of the initial state, Derivation of requirements, Description of the workflow in the use case, Data preparation for the flexible creation of job lists and configuration of the assistance system, Validation of the user-centered-assistance scenario.
