Crash severity along rural mountainous highways in Malaysia: An application of a combined decision tree and logistic regression model

Abstract

In addition to unobserved heterogeneity, it is important to account for higher order interactions to have a better understanding of factors that influence crash severity. A proper understanding of these factors will help develop targeted countermeasures to improve road safety along rural mountainous highways.
