Multi-cation crosslinked anion exchange membranes from microporous Tröger's base copolymers

The multi-cation cross-linked AEMs based on Tröger's base promote the formation of continuous ion diffusion channels. The prepared AEMs, with the size of ion channels in the range of 15–26 nm, have good dimensional stability and excellent alkali resistance while exhibiting a high hydroxide conductivity of 103.9 mS cm<sup>−1</sup> (80 °C) at a low IEC of 1.67 meq g<sup>−1</sup>.
