LaCoO<sub>3</sub> (LCO-0) perovskite catalysts were synthesized by the traditional citrate sol-gel method for toluene oxidation. The catalytic activity of the modified LaCoO<sub>3</sub> (LCO-1) by acetic acid significantly increased.
