Abstract

This paper proposes Fuzzy logic control technique for PV System using dc-dc converters. MPPT is required to extract highest amount of power from the PV system corresponding to definite operating point. Output power of the PV system depends on different climatic conditions i.e. solar irradiation and atmospheric temperature. In this work PV system using FLC MPPT is implemented in MATLAB/SIMULINK at different irradiation and constant atmospheric temperature with different converter topology such as Buck and Boost. A Fuzzy logic control (FLC)based MPPT technique proposed here, shows development in the efficiency of a PV based energy system and further comparison is made between Buck and Boost converter under variable atmospheric conditions and temperature to validate the results.
