Sexual activity and quality of life in Japanese pelvic organ prolapse patients after transvaginal mesh surgery

Abstract

Patients who underwent TVM surgery at our institution exhibited quite low sexual activity levels both before and after the operation. But TVM surgery achieved good QOL outcomes, a high success rate and a low complications rate at 12 months in Japanese POP patients. TVM implantation for POP is safe and effective in sexually inactive patients.
