Risk of thrombosis and mortality in inflammatory bowel disease

Abstract

Inflammatory bowel disease patients who develop thrombosis have an increased mortality risk. A significant proportion of the events happened in patients without a clear thromboprophylaxis recommendation or in those receiving heparin prophylaxis.
