Abstract

The roles of PVAT are 2-fold. First, sympathetic stimulation in PVAT triggers the release of adiponectin via β3-adrenoceptor activation. Second, PVAT acts as a reservoir for NA, preventing it from reaching the vessel and causing contraction.
